The impossible race

This is a picture of me  dressed warmly for the “No more excuses..No more cancer 5K” early Saturday.   We’re in Alpharetta, Georgia just north of Atlanta.  For the first time this Fall, the temperature was in the mid thirties.  As I write this, some of my friends are finishing a 9 p.m. race befoe heading for a third run.  The third race  begins at 1:50 a.m. in Cobb county.  Most of the runners will finish with a clock reading they saw before they started.    That’s why the organizers are calling it “The Impossible 5K”.  The impossible becomes possible because of the switch from daylight saving time to eastern standard.   2 a.m. will  fall back to 1 a.m.   Brrrrrr..it’s cold out there!
