A red sunrise

This sunrise was at about 6:45 a.m. today.  I photographed it from the fifth floor of a building on the Emory University campus.   My wife who knows about such things says red sunrises and sunsets happen when small particles in the atmosphere scatter light and the sun reflects off  low hanging cumulus clouds.  Whatever the explanation, it’s one of the moments in time to revel in a scene that tugs at the heart.     A closeup gives me an even greater appreciation for the wonders of the universe and its Creator!
