Studio vs. out there in the cold

I’m watching the NFL game between Chicago and Minnesota.   It’s miserable weather on the field, but in contrast, the people in the studio are comfortable.     It reminds me of the way it is when you’re a field reporter standing out there shivering while you’re waiting for your time on the air.  That’s the nature of the business so you wait and shiver.   People often ask, why do you stand out there like that.   They would say, “…we don’t need to see you freezin’ to know how cold it is…”  Maybe not, but as I watch the football game, it’s intriguing to watch these players, coaches and officials dealing with the elements.  It’s more entertaining.  I suspect it’s the same with us as viewers watch us freezing.  It’s more entertaining.
