Obfuscation

I never heard or read of a course in obfuscation.   But I’m convinced that there must be a secret place where the skill is learned by a majority of politicians.  Webster defines obfuscation as “to confuse and bewilder”.    I can’t remember how many times I’ve asked a politician a question and been confused and bewildered by the answer,  You can press on asking the question in umpteen different ways but a skilled fielder of these questions can continue to talk without saying anything.   As a reporter, you trust that the viewer or reader will recognize obfuscation for what it is.
