Should we rejoice at Bin Laden’s death?

I was a young boy when we learned that Hitler had committed suicide along with his mistress, Eva Braun, near the end of World War II.  There was dancing in the streets, but my recollection is that those celebrations were about the end of the war.   Hitler was a symbol.   So it is with Bin Laden.   He has been a symbol of the terrorism around the globe, but unlike Hitler’s death, Bin Laden’s demise doesn’t mean this war has ended.   Should we be rejoicing at Obama’s death.

Alan Goldman teaches in Emory University’s School of Public Health.  He has mixed reactions.

The lady who speaks next is Mutti Weber, a retired teacher. So neither Goldman or Weber are willing to say they rejoice, but both are glad that Bin Laden is gone.
