The snake handlers and Ray Moore

Ray Moore was the News Director of WSB-Television in the decade of the sixties.   With the approval of his bosses, Ray tackled a project about the many religions in Georgia.  Part of that decision included clearing one evening of prime-time programming.   For 3 1/2 hours, channel 2 viewers would see the many ways that people seek God.  Ray called the program, “The Search”.   One of the more intriguing segments of “The Search” was about a congregation in Kingston, Georgia that practices snake handling.   Tomorrow, God willing, we’ll post that segment from almost half a century ago.
