The “voice”

In a posting 3 days ago, you may have read about broadcaster Jim Wesley’s autobiography, “Radio Memories”.  Jim has one of the deepest, big voices I’ve ever heard.  Here’s a sample of his voice and his memories from the late 1950s.  Jim talks about his days as an announcer-newsman at WSB Radio in Atlanta, Georgia. The “Elmo” that Jim mentions is the late Elmo Ellis, the vice-president and general manager of WSB Radio.    Elmo hired Jim.
