A Protective Dachshund

This “cutie” was among the spectators at Saturday’s “Doug Kessler Sandy Springs Lightning 5K & 10K”.   Sandy Springs abuts the Atlanta city limits. The toddler was watching the runners finish when I approached the child and her Mom.  Suddenly popping up from under a blanket in the stroller was a barking Dachshund.   It showed its teeth perhaps to warn me to stay away from the baby.   The baby’s mother tried to shush the canine.   She explained to me that it was very protective.  Good for the Dachshund and good for the toddler.
