Howard Finster

This is one of thousands of  “works of art” created by the late Howard Finster.   The primitive “artist” lived in north Georgia.   Finster didn’t have much formal education.   He often combined his art with his philosophy of life.   My wife bought a few Finster originals   He calls this his “Cadalac(sic) message”.  It reads, “I never had a wreck or a ticket or been put in jail.  I never been drunk.  All I ask this world is to live like me so we can close all prisons and throw away the key.”

This is a closeup where you can see the ” essay” in Finster’s own handwriting.
