A Pearl Harbor memory

A friend of mine was living in the coastal city of Charleston, South Carolina when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor December 7th 1941.   It was 70 years ago today.  It’s an event that fewer and fewer remember first hand.  Most Americans know about the “date that will live in infamy” through oral, video or written history.   Paul Craven was not at Pearl Harbor, but he remembers.

For the United States, the war that began with Pearl Harbor lasted 4 years.  Contrast World War II with the length of the USA involved wars that have followed and are still being fought.
