I’m having second thoughts

During a warmup and subsequent 5K race this past weekend, I was pretty  well convinced I would soon be running and reading without glasses.  An opthamologist would be removing cataracts and replacing my eyes’ natural lens with “crystal lens”.  But a friend who has had the surgery has urged caution.   She told me that the results are so bad for her that a cornea specialist will be removing her crystal lens.  I haven’t made a final decision, but am having second thoughts about the cystal lens.  I would welcome any imput.

Do you have to have both eyes done at once ? I’ve thought about eye surgery off and on for 10 or more years and if I do end up doing it, I’ll do one at a time – even if it cost extra… too risky.
If it’s still a fairly new procedure, you might want to wait a little while longer and let them work out the kinks… I use that philosophy with new procedures and new medications.
