AMC currently is airing a very creative TV series about creative people who are in the business of creating ad campaigns AMC cameras appear to have free access to the people and processes that lead up to “the pitch” and beyond. Two different ad agencies make their pitch to a single client competing for its business. For example, in the episode I’m watching, the client is SUBWAY sandwiches. The assignment for the agencies is to create a campaign that will persuade 18 to 24-year-olds to eat breakfast at SUBWAY. There can be only one winning agency. We see the processes, “the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat”. I like “The Pitch”.
