Quote clearance

Heard a story this morning from WSB Radio Reporter Jamie Dupree.   Dupree reported from Washington that some print-media have agreed to grant “quote clearance” to the Romney campaign in exchange for interviews with key desirebable interviewees.  For example, if a print reporter wants an interview with the Romney children, the reporter has to agree to let a campaign professional clear the answers before they can be reported.  Such restrictions don’t apply to the broadcast media.   If Dupree’s reporting is accurate, such a practice by the campaign and the print-reporters is a betrayal of unbiased journalism.
