Have a nice day…Have a good day

How many times a day do you hear “Have a good day” or “Have a nice day”? Have we cheapened their meaning by over using them?

I don’t believe this simple greeting is cheapened one way or the other. It is simply another way of saying “goodbye”. Down under you will probably hear “goday(?) mate”. means the same thing. I don’t think it implys any sentiment
    at all.
