Theatre to TV

You may remember some of my earlier postings in which I explained why WSB-TV hired me with absolutely no TV experience. At the time, my 2 years of broadcasting was all in radio. This picture of me came from the stage production of the Greek tragedy, “Medea”. The lead male role of Jason was one of several that put me at ease in front of an audience and was transferable to a TV camera. It’s unlikely it could happen today. Most, if not all, the people WSB hires now come from small to medium TV markets. They are polished and ready to shine.
