It’s a cliche’ that may have special meaning November 6th in Georgia and most of the other 50 states who have a “winner take all” system. That means that the Presidential candidate with the most votes in Georgia and the other “winner take all” states gets all of that state’s electoral votes. Fewer than 4 states send electors to vote proportional to the number of votes a candidate receives. So even though you live in a “winner take all” state for the Presidential candidates, local results will be based on which candidates get the most votes. Would that all states would change their laws to send electors to the electoral college proportional to the number of votes a Presidential candidate receives. Until then (if ever), the Presidential race is the exception to the rule that “All Politics (are, is) local…unless you live in a “swing” state…a state that is not in the bag for either the Democrats or Republicans.
“All politics (are, is) local.”
