Fish release

A friend and I were walking along the Chattahoochee river today when we came across this fish-tanker truck. Two Georgia Department of Natural Resource rangers were releasing rainbow trout into the state’s larget river. The fish came from a state hatchery at Buford, Georgia, about 20 or 30 miles upstream. A ranger told it’s no problem for the fish to make themselves at home in the chilly water. After all, a trout is a “cold water” fish. The release of the fish makes it easy for the “Hucks and Betsys” of Georgia to catch their limits from the Chattahoochee.
