Term limits

We have a two term limit for the President of the USA. We’ll likely never have term limits for Congresspeople or Senators because it would require a constitutional amendment. You’d need two-thirds of approval from people whose terms would be limited just to get such amendments on the ballot. Three quarters of the states would have to ratify it to become law. Advocating for term-limits boils up in my thinking when I hear the kind of political posturing now happening again. The crucible of debate often produces a foul odor. I’m smelling it.

There once was a “term limit” called the ballot box. However, the ballot box doesn’t work any more because I can vote for someone that will take from you and give to me. It has become an instrument of plunder.
