As I watch WSB-TV today…

I’m impressed with the level of talent. The names and the faces change, but the standards of reporting are still those that WSB has demanded since it went on the air in 1948. Former WSB News Director Ray Moore often reminds me of how quickly and easily channel 2 attracts news talent. Ray was the best known and liked anchor-reporter on any station in Georgia when he resigned over a disagreement with station management. Ray says that regardless of his situation, those white columns didn’t move an inch when he left. There were others anxious and ready to take his spot in front of the WSB microphones. By the way, the columns did move years later when WSB’s parent company took down the white-columns building. They built a newer, more modern structure. You can still see the columns if you know where to look.
