My great grandparents owned a more than one-hundred acre farm in southwest Virginia. In the summer, my parents would take me to spend at least two weeks on the farm. It was during those times that I learned the calming effects of rain on a tin roof. We don’t have a tin roof on our Georgia home, but we do have a bay window. During the past two days, steady rain on our bay window has produced not the pitter-patter of of rain sound on tin, but more of a patter-pitter rhythm. Sometimes, it’s all patter. For me, it’s much more effective than a sleeping pill. Good night…..
