Advise to an aspiring writer…

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s parents named him after the composer of the USA’s national anthem. His full name is Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. He died of a massive heart attack at the age of 44, but not before penning novels and short stories that have increased in stature since his death. A student once sought the famed author’s advise on how to write. Fitzgerald wrote in part that to be a good writer, “you’ve got to sell your heart, your strongest reactions……” That can be hard to do…to be willing to reveal yourself with total honesty.
