Reminders of our mortality…

CIMG0002Jim Parks and I are reminders of our mortality. We went for a walk this morning (7-11-13). Jim is a retired sign company owner. He still works part-time at a public botanical garden. I don’t write about our mortality in a morose mood, but rather to remember the good lives that we both have lived. Jim is a special friend. In the song, “Nevertheless”, Bert Kalmar penned the lyrics, “maybe I’ll give much more than I get” Jim Parks is among those who give much more than he gets. It’s been my God-given good fortune to have a myriad of friends and relatives who give much more than they get. I’m thankful!
